Ryan Hecker is a graduate of The University of Miami with a Masters degree in Instrumental Jazz Performance and a graduate with honors in a Bachelor’s degree in Music from Florida International University. Ryan has played with many ensembles throughout Broward, Palm Beach and Dade counties including the Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra, The French Horn Collective, South Florida’s Caravan Ensemble, and leads his own jazz combo. Additionally, Ryan is principal percussionist for the Sunrise Symphonic Pops Orchestra and was a former member of the Orchestra’s board of directors. Ryan is also an active visual artist who enjoys making ceramics and pottery, woodworking and sculpture in his spare time.
